Rock carvings painted on copper and gold leaf

This is a special technique, where I paint images of rock carvings on gold leaf,
which is coating a copper plate. I make the paintings in various sizes.
Many plates are 20 x 20 cm ( 8 x 8 inches ) and some go up to 40 x 50 cm ( 16 x 20 inches ).
I polish the plates and sometimes work on the sufaces in other ways as well.

All images are picked from real rock carvings. I sometimes combine parts from different carvings into one painting and rearrange the separate elements.
